August 4, 2026 — Michigan Primary Election

Primary Election

Statewide primary election for partisan offices. Norwich Township voters will select party nominees for state legislative and congressional seats. Township and county nonpartisan offices may also appear on the ballot. EMS, Road, and Fire millage renewals and ballot proposals may also appear on the ballot.

November 3, 2026 — Michigan General Election

General Election

All Norwich Township precincts vote at the Township Hall. Polls are open 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Election Day. If you are in line by 8:00 PM you are entitled to vote.

Early Voting

Norwich Township does not participate in early voting at the Township Hall. The Township has contracted with Newaygo County to provide services at their location of 1087 E. Newell Street, White Cloud, MI.

Accessibility

The Township Hall polling location is accessible to voters with disabilities. Curbside voting is available — ask a poll worker for assistance.

Voter Registration

Michigan residents may register to vote online, by mail, or in person. You must be a U.S. citizen, a Michigan resident, and at least 18 years old on Election Day. You can register online up to 15 days before an election; after that deadline, same-day registration is available in person at the Township Clerk's office through Election Day.

Absentee Voting

Any registered Michigan voter may request an absentee ballot without providing a reason. You may apply for a permanent absentee voter list so you automatically receive an application before each election.

Receive Your Ballot

Ballots are mailed to registered voters who have applied; you may also pick up your ballot in person at the Clerk's office

Return Your Ballot

Return your completed ballot by mail or in person to the Township Clerk's office by 8:00 PM on Election Day

You may request to be added to the permanent absentee voter list. Once enrolled, you will automatically receive an absentee ballot application before each election. Contact the Township Clerk to sign up.

Running for Office

Norwich Township elects a Supervisor, Clerk, Treasurer, and two Trustees. Township offices are nonpartisan and serve four-year terms. Candidates file nominating petitions with the Township Clerk during the designated filing period, which typically opens in April of an election year.
